The Boys’ Home Internationals are contested by England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Each match historically consisted of five foursomes and ten singles all played over 18 holes.
In 2021 a combined Boys’ and Girls’ Home Internationals tournament was staged for the first time. Each team playing 7 foursomes and 14 singles in each match. The Boys’ now playing four foursomes and eight singles.
One point is awarded for an International Match win and half point to each country for a tie.
The R&A Trophy is awarded to the Country which gains the most points over the three day series. In the event of a tie in the team positions the team with the highest number of individual match points shall take precedence.
